In memory of Ryan Cooke (1994-2016),

a friend who was always a shining light in darkness,

who always had time for me,

and held a special place in my heart.

Lullaby for Ryan (2020, rev. 2022)

The piece is written in memory of Ryan Cooke, who tragically died in a motorcycle accident in 2016 at the age of 21. Ryan and Isaac both studied horn at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, The University of Melbourne. The piece is a response after a spiritual encounter Isaac had with Ryan at the top of Parliament Hill Viewpoint, Hampstead Heath, four years after his death.
