Pre-Performance talk by college musician in Foyle Room 12.30pm - Limited capacity.
Royal Welsh College Chamber Winds
Nicholas Carpenter conductor
“I’m just a simple Czech musician” said Antonín Dvořák – and in his Wind Serenade Op.44, he transformed the village band music of the Bohemian countryside into one of the sweetest, funniest and most delightfully unexpected mini-masterpieces of the 19th century. The Royal Welsh College Chamber Winds have paired it with three playful dances by the young Janáček to complete a lunchtime concert with a Slavonic swing.
